High Efficiency Toilet Vouchers

Toilet Voucher Qualification List

Please review the following steps to make sure you qualify for the voucher.

Application Instructions
  1. Applicants must apply and be pre-approved to receive up to 2 (two) vouchers before purchasing qualifying WaterSense® rated high efficiency toilet(s).
  2. One voucher will be issued for one toilet.
  3. Once the voucher application is approved, a voucher package is mailed to the customer.
  4. Voucher packages include a list of eligible WaterSense® approved high efficiency toilets with a list of participating retailers.
  5. Applicant chooses their replacement high efficiency toilet make/model.
  6. Applicant presents the voucher to the participating retail store for credit towards the purchase of toilet.
  7. The voucher value is up to $165 or the cost of the HET model, or whichever is less.
  1. High efficiency toilet(s) must be installed in a dwelling built before 1992.
  2. Applicant must have a current water account and receive water directly from a participating water district program within MWA's service area.
  3. Applicant must provide a copy of their most recent bill when submitting their high efficiency toilet voucher application.
  4. Customer must be pre-approved before receiving a voucher form which must be redeemed with 30 days from its mail date.
  5. There is a limit of 2 (two) toilets per household.
  6. Toilets can be one piece (tank and bowl as one unit) or two pieces (tank and bowl) to be fitted together for a complete unit.
  7. Each new toilet must replace an existing high water use toilet using 3.5 gallons per flush (GPF) or more.
  8. Applicant agrees to install the HET(s), not reuse, sell, or give away the old toilet, and must provide for proper disposal.
  9. Applicant agrees to pay any and all sales tax, installation parts (ex. wax ring, bolts, flex hose, toilet seat), labor and building costs associated with the HET installation.
 

This conservation program offers a variety of vouchers, rebates and other incentives to the public, and is dependent upon which element(s) have been adopted by the participating local water provider.
